Challenges:

• Text is highly technical; customer is very strict regarding the accuracy of the translation.
• Coordination between our project managers and the customer's in country reviewers committees. Every sentence was analyzed, commented, and modified several times. This resulted in hours of phone conversations and many meetings. The workload on our translators was very heavy.

• Consistent translation with emphasis on the accurate use of
  our customer terminology
• Establish daily communication and closely manage the worldwide process to meet deadlines for each country of the 10 countries.
  
  Some of the CLS technology being used for this project includes:
• Translation memory software, which helps reuse previous translations of the Guide, dramatically reduces translation and updates costs, and new versions of documents.

The company’s main factory and its technical writers are located in North Dakota, while its European Headquarters are located in Belgium. Translations into Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American Spanish are handled from the US; all European languages are handled
from Belgium.

Translating the key words in every language with plurals, gender variations, synonyms in such a way that every user would easily find the picture he’s interested in.
